Waterproof mobiles available in nepal

Smartphones and water don’t really get along with each other. Just ask me, who has dropped his mobile phone in water couple of times. It’s pretty normal actually as half of the smartphones which die out by an accident involve water. Smartphones are typically just a pocket-sized computer which falls in the category of electronic devices. And last time I checked, electronic devices and water don’t mix very well. You will either get caught in the rain, drop your phone in toilets, sinks or whatever.
So, if you are one of those who have spilled water on your smartphones previously and regretted, here are a list of 5 best waterproof smartphones which you can buy in Nepal.

Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

Samsung released its latest Galaxy S8 in April 21, 2017 and since then it has impressed all of its consumer its high-speed performance which surpasses its predecessor- the Galaxy S7. It came with a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display and had an Exynos 8895 Octa chipset inside it. This ensured us that the overall speed of downloading, charging and app switching increased drastically. What’s more is that, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus both are waterproof with an approval rating of IP68. Furthermore, the official statistics revealed that the water-resistant function allows an immersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Apple Inc. unveiled its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September last year. And like any other product launches, these too were able to make headlines upon their releases respectively. Of course, Apple had to make some changes to the overall design, hardware and software in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. They showcased the dual lens camera with the iPhone 7 Plus. But that’s not the only thing that was great about the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Apple made the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus waterproof with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529.

Samsung S7 and S7 Edge

The Galaxy S7 presents us with a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and has 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. While they are pretty cool with their own unique features and specifications, Samsung added a new feature which is water resistant. Therefore, similarly like the Galaxy S8, Samsung’s S7 and S7 Edge both are waterproof and shatter resistant. And if you visit the Samsung's official launch page for both S7 and S7 Edge, it mentions that they are water resistant to 1 meter (less than four feet) of water for nearly up to 30 minutes. Plus, they are also MIL-STD-810G certified which means it can withstand humidity, rain & solar radiation.

Black View BV6000

Want something that won’t get damaged as easily as other smartphones? Then, the 4.5-inch Black View BV6000 which has MediaTek Helio P10 is the one for you. Known for being an impressively tough handset, the Black View BV6000 is a good all-rounder choice for those wanting a rugged phone with a 4500 mAh. This just means that your phone will be able to handle nearly all external accidents and impacts. In addition to that, it has a plenty of battery life for you so that you don’t have to worry about losing power anytime soon. This one can take knocks and bumps, not to mention being immersed in water.

Sony Xperia Z

Sony made a comeback with its Xperia Z that features a 5 inch 1080 x 1920 display. Powered by 1.5 GHz quad core processor, the Sony Xperia Z has a 13.1-megapixel camera with Android Jelly Bean. Besides that, the Sony Xperia Z is waterproof which enables it you to take HD pictures while swimming in freshwater for up to 30 minutes. If that’s not enough then you can even dive down to 1.5 meters deep without worrying about it being damaged.

After the completion of the SLC examination, many of us are on the pursuit of higher education. But it is important to know that not all students excel in only academics, there are many of us who excel at other fields of study and intelligence than just academics. In order to hone in such skills in students who show more diligence in technical aspects or even arts or communication, the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVET) in Sanothimi have started operating a program that focuses in these specific aspects. The national autonomous apex body of technical and vocational education and training that is CTEVT has been on this line of work since its establishment back in 1989. The courses at CTEVT are for anyone who wishes to develop their off-academic skills. It can be attended both by students who have passed SLC or have not attended schools because the training, as mentioned, focuses more on off-academic skills that polish one’s skill of various talent that do not have anything to do with academia per se.
There are about 195 technical colleges and institutes affiliated to CTEVT in the country, along with eight annex schools and two rural training centers across the nation running various courses. The courses are divided into three categories, short-term vocational and skill training, technical School leaving Certificate (TSLC) and proficiency/diploma level. One can choose among the three divisions based on the eligibility criteria in each category. Quoting Ram Hari Lamichanne, the member secretary of CTEVT- “You will either become self-employed or can get a job immediately after completing the course”.
The short-term vocational and skill training is the right course for anyone interested in learning any particular skill. You do not need to pass any certain academic level for this. According to Lamichanne, “The courses aim to provide professional and vocational skills to those who are either unable to gain higher education or are interested to attain professional skills for a better career”. Under this training, the CTEVT provides trainings ranging from various fields like engineering, health, tourism, management and computers among others.
For Higher Education
If you wish to pursue higher education after a CTEVT training, then you can also choose the Technical Education Provision, this includes TSLC and proficiency/diploma level courses. For TSLC, one needs to pass the Test examinations. TSLC is a 29-month course, but only 15-months for those who have passed the SLC. There are wide variety of courses in different fields one can study at TSLC level, like agriculture, animal science, plant science, engineering or sub-overseer and health. After TSLC, you can join a three-year proficiency certificate/diploma level course. But one must at least score a minimum of 68.66% in TSLC or pass the SLC examination in second-division to be eligible to join the diploma level.

As mentioned, the CTEVT courses are designed to make students “ready for employment”. According to Saurav Ram Joshi, the spokesperson for CTEVT, “As CTEVT courses are skill-based, students have a higher chance of being employed soon after completing the course in the present competitive job market. Or they can generate employment opportunities of their own.” As CTEVT is recognized as a legitimate centre at international level, students who graduate from it have relatively higher opportunities in the international job market as well.
